Hello Friends,
I have a few Connecticut shows going on right now, and one coming up in East Hampton, NY.

Thrilled to announce that my original collage, “Down in Dumbo” (pictured above) has been selected for 'Expanding Visions' Juried Exhibition on view from Jun 7-July 18, Wed-Sun 10-5pm. My gratitude goes out to juror, Tom Matt, for my acceptance into this amazing show! The opening reception is this Saturday, June 15, 5-7 pm. Come see me there!
Update: this piece has sold and is heading to its new home in Nashville, TN after the show.

UPCOMING SHOW
GUILD HALL OF EAST HAMPTON, NY: 2024 Clothesline Art Sale
(Saturday, June 22 from 9am-2pm. Raindate: Sunday, June 23)
The Clothesline Art Sale is one of the most beloved and affordable art traditions in East Hampton, NY. For 78 years, it has provided accessible artwork to the community, while supporting the local artists who thrive here. Throughout their history, great artists such as Alfonso Ossorio, James Brooks, John Little, Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, and Elaine and Willem de Kooning have shared their talents to support Guild Hall in this unique annual fundraising effort...
My original collage called "Georgica" (work in progress pictured above) will be on display and available for sale at this show. The home pictured in this collage is known as "Kilkare" and is an iconic spot in the Georgica Association in Wainscott, NY. Back in 2017, this home was listed for a mere $55 million (it sold for a deeply discounted $27M). Yeowsa. Little known fact: In 1959, my parents built a home in the Georgica Association for $30,000...they sold it in 1970...the home was eventually torn down and replaced with a larger 'McMansion'.
Next month, I'm exhibiting my work through the Guilford Art League (alongside the Guilford Art Expo on the Green) from July 19-July 21. Save the date and come see me on the Guilford Green.
Last but definitely not least, I'm reopening my online store for a summer sale! Some of my original collages are discounted, along with select prints and notecards:
Summer is off to a busy start...next week I'm off to Long Island and then on a mini-road trip to Roanoke, Virginia to pick up one of my daughters at camp. I'll be taking many photos and I'm sure one or two of them will end up being a collage. :)
Stay cool and I'll be in touch next month!
Fondly,
Alex
