Hi Friends,
Happy July!
I’ve always thought of summer as a season for slowing down and soaking in the long, light-filled days. But the past two months have been anything but slow. Between settling into my new full-time role at the Kate, celebrating two high school graduations, and marking my twin girls’ 18th birthdays, life has been a total whirlwind! Needless to say, my art has been patiently waiting in the wings, (probably tapping its foot and giving me the side-eye). But I’m hoping to get back to it soon.
In the meantime, I’m excited to share that I have two shows running this July:
CURRENT SHOW: Clinton Art Society's 76th Annual Juried Summer Show
This summer show is currently on view at the Andrews Memorial Town Hall at 54 East Main Street in Clinton, CT and runs from June 26 through July 31.
I was thrilled to receive an 'Honorable Mention Award' for my "Lobster Boil" original collage (pictured above). My gratitude goes out to this amazing art society and their entire team. For more information, please visit CAS.

UPCOMING NY SHOW-ONE DAY ONLY
GUILD HALL OF EAST HAMPTON, NY: 2025 Clothesline Art Sale (Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 9 AM – 2 PM) My original collage "Hammonasset Happy Hour / Gulls" (pictured above) will be on view and available for sale at this one day show in East Hampton, NY.
The Clothesline Art Sale is one of the most beloved and affordable art traditions. For 78 years, it has provided accessible artwork to the community, while supporting the local artists who thrive here. Throughout their history, great artists such as Alfonso Ossorio, James Brooks, John Little, Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, and Elaine and Willem de Kooning have shared their talents to support Guild Hall in this unique annual fundraising effort!
Exhibit Date: Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 9AM-2PM
Location: Guild Hall, 158 Main Street, East Hampton, NY 11937(FREE admission)

RECENT COMMISSION & MAGAZINE INTERVIEW
Pictured above is a collage I completed last month for a former boss from my advertising days in NYC. His wife commissioned me to create a collage of his favorite motorcycle as a surprise birthday gift. (He recently sold his prized bike and she wanted this collage to provide a visual memory for him). It was a fun and challenging assignment and a departure from my usual work!
I’ve got other exciting news: I was recently interviewed by "Canvas Rebel" Magazine about my art practice. You can read it here and get a deeper glimpse into my art world and process. :)
Thanks, as always, for your ongoing support.
Fondly,
- Alex
