Hello Friends, Happy Summer! Thank you for your ongoing support! I've been hard at work creating many new collages, a few of which can be seen at the below shows in Connecticut.
CT Friends: The "Expanding Visions" Show at the Lyme Art Association is coming to an end this Saturday. It's supposed to rain the next few days, so if you want a fun, rainy day activity, please visit this amazing art gallery in Old Lyme. My piece "Wading for Waves" (pictured below) just sold this past weekend! I'm so thrilled and grateful that it's going to a wonderful new owner and home. I based this piece off a summer photo taken many years ago and it holds a special place in my heart.
On Sunday, July 16th from 2-4pm, I'll be at the opening reception for the Clinton Art Society's 74th Annual Summer Juried Exhibition. Stop by if you're in the area and say "hi"! If not, definitely check out this show running from July 16-August 17th at the Andrews Memorial Town Hall in Clinton, CT. Grateful to have two of my original collages selected for this exhibit: "Lobster Landing" (pictured below) and "CT Salt Marsh".
Long Island Friends: I have two collages "Make Lemonade" and "Towards Shelter Island" (pictured below) available exclusively through the lovely Brass and Burl in East Hampton, NY. When I first visited this showroom back in May, I literally wanted to move in! :) If you're out East, please visit Brass and Burl at 404 Montauk Highway, East Hampton, NY 11937.
Look for me on the Madison, CT Green as I exhibit more of my original artwork through the Madison Art Society at the Summer Festival of Arts & Antiques on Saturday, August 26th from 9-4pm.
Most importantly, I appreciate your support and I'm so thrilled you like my collages! Stay tuned for more updates this Fall! I hope you all have a great rest of the summer! - Alex
